My tutoring approach in English and Mathematics is structured, student-centered, and tailored to individual needs. I begin with an initial assessment to identify the student’s current level, strengths, and areas for improvement. Each lesson follows a clear structure: review of previous material, introduction of new content, guided practice, and feedback. I emphasize active learning, encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and develop independent study skills.
In English, I cover reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis. For English as a second language (ESL) students, I also focus on speaking, listening, and pronunciation. In Mathematics, I teach number operations, algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving, with a focus on building a solid conceptual foundation and confidence.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, though shorter sessions (30–45 minutes) are available for younger learners or focused reviews, and longer sessions (90 minutes) can be arranged for exam preparation or multi-subject tutoring. I hold a degree in [insert degree] and have several years of experience tutoring students from primary through secondary level, including preparation for GCSE, SAT, 11+, and other standardized exams.
