About Tanvi
About me:
I’m a massive Economics and Maths enthusiast who loves finding the logic behind the numbers. Having sat my A-Level Maths a year early and achieved an A* (alongside A*s predicted in Further Maths and Economics), I know exactly what it feels like to navigate the pressure of these exams. While I’ve had the chance to lead student societies and even design investment strategies for J.P. Morgan, what I enjoy most is taking those 'big' academic ideas and making them simple and approachable. I’m here to show you that these subjects aren’t just about memorising formulae, but about understanding how the world actually works. I have experience having worked as a self-employed tutor helping Year 10 students simplify complex concepts and find their footing in Maths.
Why I want to teach:
I want to teach because I’ve been in your shoes and I know that frustrating feeling when a topic just won't 'click.' I truly believe that once you start enjoying a subject, the grades follow naturally. My goal is to be a friendly, supportive partner in your learning, turning daunting equations or complex economic theories into things you actually feel confident about. I pride myself on being professional and reliable, but also approachable; I want to create a space where no question is too small and where we work together to turn your toughest challenges into your biggest wins.

My approach to tutoring is built on the belief that genuine subject enjoyment is the primary driver of student success. Having achieved an A* in A-level Mathematics a year early and leading both the Maths and Economics societies at Greenford High School, I specialise in simplifying complex GCSE and A-level concepts (including Further Maths) through a mix of Socratic questioning and real-world application. I draw on my experience as a J.P. Morgan intern to make Economic theory tangible for my students, focusing on building the logical foundations and exam precision needed for top grades. My lessons are typically 60 to 90 minutes, tailored specifically for secondary and A-level students who are aiming for academic excellence.
