About Alina
Hello there! My name is Alina Khan, and I am an incoming student at UCLA majoring in Human Biology & Society, with plans to minor in Creative/Professional Writing and Biomedical Research. I have always loved reading and writing from a young age - from talking about books with my family and helping my friends with their writing - ELA is a passion of mine that I've turned into an outlet to help others. Although I am a STEM student, I believe writing is a fundamental skill that everyone needs to have in their toolbelt, and I am here to support anyone in need of such services.

My technique as a tutor is to build my students' confidence in academia and literature. ELA as a subject is difficult, but I believe with proper practice and guidance, anyone can become an excellent writer and reader. I provide my students with sample essay prompts and reading assignments, and carefully review their homework to make necessary edits and suggestions to help them improve in areas they struggle with. My lessons are open to students of all age groups and class levels.
