About Isabela
I am an incoming Biophysics PhD student at UC Berkeley, where I will apply my mathematical and physics knowledge in understanding biological systems. I love all areas of science as well as the humanities.
Throughout my undergraduate program, I have had to take many college upper-division math classes, physics classes, college general requirement chemistry/biology classes, as well as advanced reading/writing courses to fulfill my liberal arts degree.
Through the many fellowship and graduate school applications I have had to submit, I am also eager to help students with any reading or writing endeavors. I will be graduating with honors this spring. I have also mentored many students in the lab and love teaching people new things!
I intend to spend my gap year growing my teaching skills and saving for graduate school. In my free time, I love scuba diving, playing the drums, and learning new recipes!

I love teaching and have volunteered to teach students from elementary to high school in various subjects. I have also privately tutored before, back at home in Miami. I think anyone has the capability of learning anything with enough effort, and I want my students to succeed. I will help prepare students for any sort of testing, schoolwork, and overall grow their confidence in the subject.
