About Jacques

I am a friendly, patient and motivated individual who enjoys helping others learn, grow and reach their goals. I believe that learning English should be a positive and rewarding experience, and I aim to make every lesson comfortable, practical and enjoyable.

My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, improving communication skills and helping students understand English through clear explanations and real-life examples. I encourage students to ask questions, practise without fear of making mistakes, and progress at their own pace.

I can help students improve their grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing and conversational English. I also enjoy helping adults develop their professional communication and business writing skills.

I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to adapt my lessons to suit individual needs, learning styles and personal goals. Whether you are a beginner, a school student or an adult wanting to improve your English for work or everyday life, I will do my best to support you on your learning journey.

My goal is simple: to help you feel more confident using English and to make your learning experience worthwhile, engaging and successful.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching English is friendly, patient, practical and focused on helping every student build confidence. I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable, interactive and tailored to each student's individual needs and goals.

My teaching methodology

I use clear explanations, practical examples, conversation practice, reading exercises, and writing activities to help students improve their English step by step. I adapt my teaching style to each student's learning pace and focus on areas where they need the most support. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and improving.

I can offer English lessons in English. I can also use Afrikaans to support explanations where appropriate, if needed.

What to expect from a typical lesson

You will have opportunities to practise speaking, reading or writing, receive constructive feedback, and review what you have learned. Lessons are designed to be supportive, productive and enjoyable.
