About Hettie
I have many years of experience in teaching mainstream subject as well as learners with special needs in education. I am passionate about language, not only as a subject, but as the carrier of information. Indeed, most of my qualifications are in how to learn a new language, how to use language as a tool in other subjects. I prefer to sit with my tutee, enjoy the lesson, improvise when needs be or even share some humour.

Every single learner is different in the way they learn best and in what the want from their tutor. In working face-to-face I can pick up the mood and energy of the day and adapt my lessons accordingly. Foundation phase lessons in any subject can be presented in 2- or 3D and I regularly introduce new activities and strategies especially with my brain diverse learners.
