About Ritvik

Hi, I’m Ritvik, a first-year medical student at Imperial College London. I completed the IB Diploma in Singapore with a score of 42/45, including 7s in both HL Biology and HL Chemistry.

I am passionate about science and enjoy helping students understand topics that often seem difficult at first. Having recently gone through the IB and IGCSE systems myself, I understand the challenges students face and the importance of clear explanations, structured revision, and strong exam technique.

I aim to create a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether they are looking to strengthen their foundations, improve their grades, or work towards top marks.

About the lesson

I focus on making science easy to understand, engaging, and exam-focused. My teaching style is based on identifying the student’s current level, strengthening weak areas, and then applying the concepts to exam-style questions. Rather than relying on memorisation, I help students understand why processes happen, which is especially important for IB Biology and IGCSE Biology/Chemistry.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. We usually begin with a short review of previous material, followed by teaching of a new topic using diagrams, examples, and guided practice. We then work through exam-style questions together and finish with a brief summary of the key points and common mistakes to avoid.

I am a first-year medical student at Imperial College London and an IB graduate with a score of 42/45, including 7s in HL Biology and HL Chemistry. I have experience helping students with science revision, understanding difficult concepts, and improving exam technique.

My lessons are suitable for Middle School students (Grade 6–8), IGCSE Biology and Chemistry students, and IB Biology students (SL and HL). I tailor the pace and depth of each lesson to the student’s age, confidence level, and academic goals, whether they are trying to catch up, improve their grades, or aim for top marks.
