About Rosie

I have recently finished my degree in Biological Sciences at Imperial College London. During my degree I also gained research experience at AstraZeneca. Previously I studied for my A levels where I achieved A* AA in biology, chemistry and psychology. Having recently completed my school education I know how challenging it can be and that's why I tutor to try and make it that little bit easier. As a sixth former I tutored GCSE students in biology, chemistry and physics giving me some insight into the kind of help students require including help with exam style questions, specific topic questions and the understanding of key theories in the sciences. I was also a mentor for younger students so know the kind of support and encouragement students need. Throughout my whole degree I have tutored GCSE and A level Biology, giving my extensive experience in what works. Next I am going on to study a PhD at the University of Cambridge. I hope to continue tutoring and spreading my passion for science.

About the lesson

In my session students would be provided with revision exercises and exam style questions on topics they struggle with. Exam practice and being able to answer applied style questions is a crucial part of achieving top grades in both GCSE and A Levels so this would be an integral part of the sessions. Answering general questions and exam questions is a great way to consolidate knowledge and become more equipped for exams. I have three years of remote tutoring experience in GCSE and A level. I have tutored students from a range of backgrounds and points in their educations. I find lessons at 40 minutes are ideal as it keeps the time focused.
