About Imogen
I work as a violin and recorder teacher in the York area, where I've been teaching for around 6 years. As well as teaching privately, I teach in primary and secondary schools. I teach all ages, from young children to adults and elderly. As well as working as a freelance teacher, I also work for York Arts Education, and the North Yorkshire County Music Service.
As well as a Masters degree in music, I also hold a postgraduate diploma in Music Education: Instrumental and Vocal teaching.

I am a friendly teacher working in the York area, where I am currently taking on new students. I prioritise making sure my students enjoy their lessons and the instrument they are learning and my aim is to suit lessons to each individual. As well as teaching individuals of all ages, I am also happy to teach in small groups, for instance, siblings or friends learning together.
I teach violin, viola and recorder, as well as academic music and music theory. Lessons are structured to meet individual needs, and where appropriate I prepare pupils for music exams.
