About Brett

Three (3) Master's degrees in TESOL, Applied Linguistics and Education. Current PhD student & IELTS examiner with extensive university & TAFE teaching experience and online to adults of all levels. Fluent in Japanese and proven experience of helping students gain a better understanding of English and achieving their linguistic and academic goals.

About the lesson

My teaching method is ultimately determined by the student's individual needs and goals. I consider myself an eclectic teacher, taking pride in helping my students to develop competence and confidence in their language abilities by taking an approach that is essentially communicative. Drawing on my experience in Australia teaching ESL at university to numerous nationalities of varying ages and abilities, I find it easy to develop rapport with students, and see myself as a guide and facilitator while not discounting the desire I have to make my classes entertaining and above all enjoyable.
