About Emma
Currently I’m at the University of Leicester studying for my MA, but previously I was a student at the University of Sheffield. It was there I studied for my BA in history and gained a 2:1. I have experience in being a student mentor for other students at the University of Sheffield. I have been a dance teacher for a number of years too, giving me experience in teaching and helping others to fulfil their potential.

The way I approach teaching is subjective to every individual. I do not believe in a one-size-fits all approach and instead adapt my methods to suit every individual’s needs. The key to my teaching is to build up confidence. From my own experience at school, I struggled immensely with self-belief and this greatly affected my academia as well and my mental health. Building self-confidence is my main priority, as it is from this you tend to see the best results. It encourages pupils to learn faster and more efficiently while decreasing stress levels.
