About Will
I’m a guitar and bass tutor with a strong background in music and a deep love for jazz and classical harmony. I’m especially interested in how harmony actually works, and how you can use it to make music feel more intentional instead of random.
I’ve studied music seriously and I bring that knowledge into lessons in a way that stays practical. You won’t be buried in theory for its own sake. Everything gets connected back to the instrument and the music you actually want to play.
I teach both guitar and bass, and I move between them depending on what helps you understand the bigger picture faster. A lot of students find that switching perspectives between the two instruments makes things click in a way they didn’t before.
Whether you’re a beginner or someone with experience who feels stuck, I focus on giving you real clarity, structure, and direction so you can actually progress instead of guessing.

I start by asking what kind of music you actually want to play. Rock, blues, pop, indie, your favorite songs, whatever it is. From there I build everything around that instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all method.
We still go through the foundations, but always tied to real music so it makes sense. Chords, rhythm, timing, and technique all get introduced in a way you can actually use right away.
Each lesson has a clear focus and simple practice steps so you’re not guessing what to do between sessions. The goal is to keep you playing, not stuck thinking about what to practice.
You’re not just learning shapes or theory. You’re learning how to actually use the instrument so you can start learning songs and building your own playing on your own.
