About Morgan
As a Dean's List student in an Honours Specialization in Genetics—with a minor in Microbiology and Immunology and a strong foundation in Python, Java, and R—I provide academic support rooted in a modern, multi-disciplinary approach to the sciences. My own background—including a 90%+ average in AP Biology and AP Mathematics—was built on deep conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization.
I combine the analytical precision of a scientist with a creative approach to learning, helping students navigate the information load of all high school levels and first-year University Biology. My goal is to bridge the gap between Grade 9 basics and the rigorous demands of advanced University-stream courses.
I am an avid, lifelong learner who believes that discovery happens at every opportunity, whether inside or outside the classroom. Beyond the lab, I am a classically trained piano player, a creative writer, and a DELF B2 certified French speaker. My background is community-focused; as a volunteer instructor with London Track 3, I teach inclusive alpine skiing.
This experience has been vital in teaching me how to meet students exactly where they are, adapting complex ideas into simple, manageable steps for any age or skill level.
I believe the best learning happens through connection. Whether I am scuba diving or studying genetics, I bring that "zest" for discovery to every session. My goal is to help students find relevance in their studies, transforming complex concepts into something approachable, engaging, and intellectually satisfying.

My teaching methodology is centred on conceptual clarity and student autonomy. Rather than focusing on short-term memorization, I help students build a robust mental framework of how scientific systems actually work.
Whether we are mastering the basics of introductory science or navigating the rigours of first-year University Biology, I use analogies and visual descriptions to make complex ideas feel intuitive.
My Approach to Academic Support:
Building Strong Foundations: We move beyond the "what" to the "how" and "why." My priority is ensuring the student understands the underlying logic of the subject—the essential first step toward academic independence at any grade level.
Adaptive Study Strategies: I don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" formula. Instead, I help students adapt their methods—from structured linear notes to non-linear mind mapping—to suit their specific learning style and the requirements of their curriculum. My goal is to provide a toolkit that helps students retain and organize information, even when faced with unideal or confusing delivery methods in the classroom.
Cognitive Strategies: I share the memory techniques and study habits that allowed me to maintain a 90%+ average in the AP stream. These are offered as suggestions to help students manage their workload effectively and reduce the stress of evaluations.
Adaptive Communication: Drawing on my experience as a volunteer instructor for London Track 3, I focus on finding the right "language" to explain a concept so that it clicks for the student’s specific way of thinking. I enjoy the challenge of making a difficult topic make sense for the first time.
My role is to provide the clarity and the tools; I empower my students to take ownership of their own academic journey and apply these insights to reach their personal goals.

Morgan is an incredible find. It’s rare to find a tutor who is both highly academic (especially with her genetics background) and so relatable. She really connected with our daughter and helped her develop better study habits that go beyond just memorizing facts. She’s patient, organized, and clearly passionate about science—it's been very motivating for my daughter to work with someone who enjoys the subject so much. What we love most is that Morgan is a ‘one-stop shop’ for us—it’s such a bonus that she can also help with Math and English, and even her French skills are a huge asset. We definitely plan on utilizing her across other subjects moving forward!
MelMorgan has been an outstanding tutor for my kids, helping them with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. She is patient, organized, and truly dedicated to making sure they fully understand the material.
Her knowledge in Biology is especially impressive. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and she explains complex concepts in a clear and simple way. My kids have gained both confidence and a much deeper understanding of the subject because of her guidance.
She also provides excellent, detailed feedback that helps them continue to improve. We are very grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional and caring tutor.
