About Maha

Currently, I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in Honours BSc. biomedical sciences with a neuroscience option in Ottawa. I love teaching, and volunteer with Let's Talk Science, an organization dedicated to providing students with incredible learning opportunities in STEM. I am also a mentor for high school students to help with any concerns they might have regarding study plans, extracurriculars, course selection, and post-secondary applications.

I am incredibly passionate about all things STEM. I find that learning through compassion, patience, and while having fun, is far more effective than just reading concepts in a textbook.

About the lesson

Sciences can seem intimidating at times, which is why it is so important to know what works for you as a student. I understand how difficult it can be when you're struggling to grasp a concept and your teacher tells you to "read the textbook" instead of trying a different approach. Everyone learns differently, and sometimes all you need is a little extra help in ways that help YOU as a learner. This is exactly what I do! I will sit down with you and learn what works for you so you can get those As in your middle school or high school science courses, for all academic levels!

Perfect! Maha is a wonderful tutor, very approachable and open, and she will readily share her own resources with you so that you can understand fully. I only had a few very superficial questions and even though I felt quite ridiculous not understanding/knowing it, she made me feel very at ease right away and explained everything in a way that 'unstuck' my brain from its faulty line of reasoning.
