About Jolynn J Chin

Hi, I'm Jolynn, a Grammy-considered artist with over 9 years of experience performing and teaching across the globe. I’m a Gold Award recipient at the Asia International Piano Academy Festival (AIPAF) and have trained in piano performance for over 20 years under a graduate professor from the prestigious Juilliard School of Music. As an award-winning pianist and multi-genre composer, I’ve worked in TV/Film, Gaming, and Commercial Music, and my album Beyond Classical was nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards. Whether you’re looking to improve your piano skills, dive into songwriting and composition, or explore the music business, I’m here to equip you with the techniques and knowledge you need to succeed!

About the lesson

I have been teaching pianists from various countries and age ranges for 9 years, such as France, Germany, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa, and the United States. I have helped young beginners fall in love with music and also helped advanced piano students obtain a Diploma in Piano Performance. My students have also entered various national and international competitions, all in which have walked away with prizes. I am here to equip you with the right techniques you need when playing the piano, songwriting, composing, or music business consultation. Whether it's improving your piano skills, learning how to write and produce better songs, or learn how to make a career from music, I'm here to help you achieve your dreams!

YES! Jolynn is the one! I cant emphasize how important enough it is for you to get at least an instructor that is credible in the music industry, not just certification wise. Helps me navigate challenges faced in the real world as a musician and build my career as an independent artist.

Jolynn has been an incredible tutor in helping me prepare for my Grade 8 practical and theory exams. Her deep understanding of music theory and her ability to relate it back to performance made learning feel seamless. She was always encouraging and found creative ways to explain advanced topics like counterpoint and harmony. Thanks to her detailed guidance, I passed both my practical and theory exams with high marks. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and supportive tutor, I couldn’t recommend Jolynn enough.

ve been learning piano with Jolynn for almost a year, and I can confidently say she’s one of the best tutors I’ve had. As someone who started as a complete beginner, I appreciated how she broke everything down step by step and tailored the lessons to my pace. Jolynn has a natural ability to make even the most challenging pieces feel achievable. Her energy and passion for music are incredibly motivating. I wouldn’t have come this far without her guidance!
