About ELIJAH

Teaching is my calling as I have been doing this for over 18 years. I enjoy it and derive satisfaction from the success of my students. Currently I am actively teaching as I am employed as a teacher. This means I keep track with changing trends

About the lesson

With over 18 years of hands-on, successful teaching experience, I am confident in my ability and passion to become a positive addition to your school community as a Teacher of Mathematics. I have earned a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Mathematics and Biological Sciences, as well as a Masters in Education (Curriculum and Instruction). Being a versatile individual, I have had an opportunity to teach students who functioned below-, on-, and above average level. I have been very successful at accommodating diverse student needs by facilitating all styles of learners, offering individualised and extracurricular support, and integrating effective materials. I encourage learning by using a number of different manipulative, hands-on activities, and various forms of technology. By incorporating class discussions, open-ended questions, and cooperative learning I am able to facilitate a highly interactive and inquisitive atmosphere. In addition, I utilise weekly quizzes and monthly tests to track student progress, locate areas of weakness, and prepare students for final exams. I teach KS3, GCSE and A level Mathematics. For GCSE students, the added advantage is I am also an examiner with Pearsons, as I mark Maths Paper 1

I taught with him for 14 years at St George's College where he portrayed diligence, organization and a self drive throughout his working career at the college. In terms of team work, he is a good team player and collaborates with others. He has been involved in private tutoring and has administered these lessons successfully.
