About Maria
I have been teaching students since I was in 7th grade, pulling my peers out of rehearsal to help them at my teachers direction to do so. I started teaching private lessons in college and continue to this day. I'm a free lance performer on horn and voice. I also arrange and conpose original music, many times out of necessity for groups I've taught with difficult or unusual instrumentation. I've taught large and small instrumental ensembles, vocal ensembles, general music, music theory, and music history

First, I am a nice person and there is no judgement regarding where you "should" be. If you are teachable, I can get you where you want to go. My students in large amd small ensembles have had great success as well as individuals. My primary instrument is French horn, but I have taught all brass, woodwind, and percussion, as well as voice.
