About Alejandro

As I mentioned, teaching Spanish is not my hobby. I have been a Spanish teacher my entire life. I am passionate about my teaching and consider myself a very experienced professional. I can quickly adapt my classes to best help you and nothing makes me happier than seeing your Spanish skills improve as your confidence increases. I'm very easy to work with. I'm liberal-thinking, open-minded, and an animal lover. I like gastronomy and have authored a restaurant review for various newspapers as a hobby. I'm a bit of a movie buff and love books (I have about 3 thousand!) If you're new to the city or planning to relocate here I can help you with the transition. I look forward to meeting you soon and talking about your situation, your level in Spanish, and your plans to use the language.

About the lesson

I offer a trial class to serious prospective students; that meeting will be focused on you: I will evaluate your level and ask some questions that will help me plan a perfect program for you, personalized to make sure you'll have exactly the type of Spanish class you prefer. Since it's a 1:1 class, your input is important. We'll talk about a convenient class schedule too. Now a little about me: I'm a very experienced (25+ years) native-speaking Mexican teacher with fluent English skills. I live in crazy Mexico City. I'm enthusiastic, professional, dedicated, and respectful. I have directed my own private language school, and also have experience working virtually. I have taught many kinds of classes: conversation, pronunciation, business, test prep, and I welcome zero-level students too. I have a vast collection of teaching materials & plan a personalized program for you. I have pdf files ready to use online but can also have classes in my very conveniently located library/classroom in CDMX (San Rafael near Condesa-Roma-Juárez.)

Here's the fee structure: Private classes: 400. pesos per hr. and I offer a 10% discount if you reserve (by paying) 20 hours in advance*. I kindly ask you to reserve your class hours by paying fees at least two weeks in advance (which does not imply that you have to wait two weeks to start) and give me 24-hr. notice to credit a canceled class. All materials are included. Let me know your availability and I'll be glad to check for schedule matches. I normally accept payments via PayPal or Wise. I can also provide bank info. for transfers and have Payoneer too. I normally use Skype for online classes but have also used Whereby and Meet. *Sorry, No discount is offered if you study less than 2 hrs. per wk.
