About Alexandra
¡Hola! My nombre is Alexandra Glazkova de Serrato, and according to my university degree I'm a linguist, but in my heart I am and I always have been a passionate language teacher.
I graduated from National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow with a degree in Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. During my time in university, I had the chance to do a student exchange programme in Puebla, Mexico, and I loved it so much that after my graduation I bought the first tickets back to Puebla and it's been about 2 years that I'm living and teaching here.
Actually, Puebla is where it all started for me as a teacher. As my prácticas profesionales in 2017, I designed, developed and successfully taught a Russian language course for Spanish speakers in Spanish (and Russian). Upon returning to my country, I started digging into different teaching methods and learning everything I could about teaching as it converted into my passion. Oh, and by the way, I came back not only with muchas ganas de enseñar rusoinglésespañol a todo el mundo, but also with a surprisingly fluent level of Spanish. I managed to get from 0 to approximately B2 by simply being immersed into the Spanish-speaking environment. And as a linguist, I didn't just take it for granted. As a linguist I knew what the research says about immersion as a method of language learning (spoiler alert: it doesn't say anything good), so I started polishing and working on my Spanish to reach the one and only C2.
In 2018, I started working at a language school in Moscow, teaching Spanish and English, and had the opportunity to work with different types of students, with different objectives, backgrounds and levels. It opened my perspective even more and gave me enough knowledge and experience to pass successfully the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test exam with the highest score (BAND 4).
Apart from my mother tongue, I also speak English and French fluently so I understand the process of learning a new language and the most frequent difficulties that native speakers of English, Russian or French might have with the Spanish language.
As I mentioned before, currently I live in Mexico. I work at a Mexican Logistics company as a language teacher, everyday I get to use the Spanish language and I love it. ¡And I want to share my pasión por la lengua y la Spanish-speaking cultura with you!

Perfect! Alexandra is a wonderful teacher. I started to learn Spanish from scratch and after a few months I can already express myself clearly.
