Hi, I'm Dhruvil! My approach to tutoring history blends structured exam prep with discussion-led learning, so students build both the analytical skills needed for tests and a genuine understanding of the "why" behind historical events. A typical lesson starts with a quick review of key concepts, moves into open discussion where I pose questions and push students to argue different perspectives (much like an AP-style free-response question), and wraps up with targeted practice, timed writing, multiple-choice drilling, or primary source analysis, depending on what the student needs. What sets me apart is my strong AP History background and firsthand knowledge of what exam graders look for, combined with a finance student's eye for connecting historical events to economic and political cause-and-effect. These lessons work for students at any level, from middle school through AP History, who want to sharpen their exam performance without losing the bigger picture — especially those prepping for AP exams, tackling DBQs and essays, or simply learning better through dialogue than passive review.
