About Candice
I became a teacher to develop meaningful and authentic relationships with my students so I could help them boost their self-confidence and self-efficacy. I have devoted the best part of my life to improving my students' academic and social skills within and outside the classroom context. Teaching and tutoring are so incredibly rewarding and fulfilling and I absolutely love what I do for a living!

I am a qualified Modern and Ancient History teacher with two years of classroom experience. My lessons are a minimum of 60 minutes in duration as I believe that is an ideal amount of time to work together and allow you to build the skills required to complete the homework that I set for you throughout the week.
I have taught three senior Ancient History classes, and achieved six Band 6's in my first year of teaching the HSC course.
I incorporate various teaching activities into my tutoring lessons by unpacking the questions, explaining the relevant content, and then modelling the writing process.
I implement the "I do, we do, you do" teaching model, as I believe my students learn best when the scaffolding has been provided for them to feel confident enough to complete the question independently.
Together, we improve your ability to construct a cohesive argument, which is supported by critically analysed primary and secondary sources. Once these foundational skills are developed, I focus on improving and enhancing the structure and detail of your short and extended response pieces.
