About Jospeh
I'm currently studying History at Keele University and gathering as much experience as I can in teaching or tutoring roles so that I can be best prepared to move into a teaching role when my training is complete. I absolutely love learning and love teaching content to interested people. I also love to take part in debates around the interpretation of history. My hobbies are rather nerdy as one might expect from a History student, including building and painting model vehicles and playing strategy computer games.

My main aim will be to boost a student's confidence in a subject so that they are more able to work independently and more effectively in school or college. I would achieve this by planning my lessons with challenge and reward in mind. My aim would be to ensure that after my lessons, the student would be confident in their ability and understanding of the content but find it challenging enough to encourage engagement and questions. My lessons would ideally last for an hour with a short break half way through as I find this most helpful when studying for myself, but if a student has a preferred way of working that is still effective I would be happy to adopt that method for them. My experience comes primarily from cover teaching and volunteering as a teaching assistant in primary schools so my experience is mostly geared to working 1:1 with students who may need a bit of extra help. I can comfortably cover most GCSE content and my essay writing skills and debate skills will be helpful to both GCSE and A level students.
