About Alan

My name is Alan and I am a 22-year old history graduate from the University of Oxford. I achieved a first in the BA History degree and I am currently awaiting the results of my MSt degree. I am going to be working part-time as a language assistant in Córdoba, Spain from October, which will further expand my teaching toolkit. I have GCSES and A-Levels in: History (A*, A*), English (A*, A*), and Spanish (A*, A*).

About the lesson

All lessons are structured according to the academic needs of the individual student. Initial free consultation with student and parent will provide me with the information necessary to construct a timeline and plan of action. Lessons will then be organised along this timeline, with the aim of ensuring that by the end the student has the tools necessary to succeed on their own. I have one year of online tutoring experience, having been a tutor on MyTutor.co.uk. In this role, I taught disadvantaged students GCSE English and Essay Writing skills. My lessons are for students in years 9, 10, and 11. I teach at any level; my only requirement is that students turn up with enthusiasm and attentiveness and that they complete the work requested of them.
