About Lauren
Hi - my name is Lauren! I am currently a 2nd year, studying History and International Relations at the London School of Economics.
At A Level I took History (A*), Psychology (A*) and French (A). At GCSE I achieved A*s in English lit/lang, History, French, Spanish, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Maths.
I have experience working with students in school to improve their schoolwork (I have a DBS check and reference). I have also informally tutored friends of my younger siblings.

History can be a really overwhelming subject because of the heavy content load however my tutoring lessons will aim to revise that content over time to make the end revision process less daunting!
The key skill required for history is essay writing technique. I would work with my students to hone this skill so that essays are more concise and correspond to the mark scheme. This would look like talking through structure, looking at mark schemes together, writing model answers together and I would also be more than happy to mark any essays which students are doing in their spare time or before they hand in schoolwork!
