About Harry
Hello! I am an A-Level English-Language student studying in the Bromley area and I am looking to begin private tutoring. I have had previous unpaid experience of this through the one to one student mentoring scheme offered at my school, and it was there that I tutored GCSE English Language students. I have a grade 8 (new A*) GCSE in English Language and a 7 (new A) in English Literature.
I am now looking to tutor for GCSE English students who are looking to get a head start in this subject area and would benefit from some advice and tips.

My teaching method would be mostly set around provoking a response and trying to get the student to think for themselves. If they are really stuck, this is when I believe it is time to intervene and to help them understand what it is they need to be doing. Patience is important I feel, and would be the forefront of my teaching, but the student must be focused and I would be happy to remind them of this if required.
I am overall fairly laid back and open to different ways of teaching however, and ultimately it would be whatever the student would prefer within reason.
