I am an MA graduate offering history, archaeology and anthropology lessons. I have a background in ceramic analysis, varied excavation experience throughout the Mediterranean, and extensive experience in field documentation and finds processing.
Currently, I have 2 ongoing roles on international excavation projects. I developed and implemented the Finds Processing and Documentation Protocol for the Troy Project, Turkey, and manage the Dutch section of the finds administration. I was a trench supervisor in the Halos Project in Thessaly, Greece, and now have an ongoing position writing excavation reports and working in the finds depot.
My research interests thus far through my MA studies have focused on ceramic analysis and peripheral studies. More recently, I have been exploring the research subject of behavioural and cognitive archaeology. Alongside this, I am currently leading a research project on ‘Women in Archaeology’ within my position in the Troy Project in Turkey, alongside my ongoing role as Find Processing and Documentation Manager.
I am also concerned with further integrating modern scientific methodologies in academic, museum and fieldwork aspects of archaeological practice and education. I am passionate about engaging the public with archaeology, museum and heritage work. I believe this lies in modern technological advancements, such as the digitisation of collections, and also interactive exhibitions and education opportunities on-site, in museums and on the internet. This has been relevant to my various museum internships and field work experience.
