About Veena
Music is catharsis. An aphorism I have grown to assiduously believe over a career spanning 34 years. Besides studying Hindustani Music for more than 8 years, I have worked with Akashvani, AWWA, and ultimately settled on teaching. I settled because I saw how powerful music is psychologically. I saw how it could cure depression, anxiety and bring happiness to people.

Practice is key. I teach Hindustani vocal music and believe in practical prowess more than theoretical knowledge.
I believe in personalized teaching. I start by dedicating one class solely to understanding the caliber of the student to familiarize myself with how much they already know. Then I customize the pace of my teaching and design lessons accordingly.
