About Rhea
Hello! My name is Rhea, I am a 16-year-old high schooler in the DMV area. I have been a singer for 12 years and I've been studying Hindustani Classical Music for 4 years. I have completed all exams up to Praveshika Poorna and am currently working on Madhyama Pratham. With my solid grounding in vocal techniques, raagas, and sargams, I aim to foster both technical skill and a deep appreciation for this art form. I’m always excited to help students improve their singing, whether they’re preparing for exams or simply exploring the world of classical music for personal growth. While I am still young myself, I believe my enthusiasm and relatability give me a unique connection with students, especially those just starting out or those trying to overcome challenges in their musical journey. I am committed to creating a patient, supportive, and fun learning environment where you can feel confident in your progress.

I focus on personalized approaches tailored towards each kid; I build lessons and curriculums around each kid's strengths and weaknesses. I aim to help students grasp foundational concepts, such as vocal technique, basic theory, swaras, and ragas.
For a typical lesson, I will begin with vocal warm-ups, then transition into learning/practicing swaras, scales, and ragas, while paying attention to improving vocal technique.
As a young student myself, I understand the struggles many people may experience when first starting out with Hindustani Classical Music. My goal is to help beginners develop confidence and fundamental skills to advance as Hindustani musical artists.
