About Karis
I am a former wildlife rehabilitator and ecologist with experience working in both Ohio and Alaska. I obtained a master's degree in science education and currently work as a high school advanced level/college credit plus life science teacher. I cover a broad range of topics in life sciences, and I bring a personal connection to the content.

I teach all areas of life science including general and advanced biology, zoology, botany, ecology, anatomy and physiology, and environmental science. I use my prior experience working as a wildlife rehabilitator and ecologist to connect content material to real-world examples. As a tutor, I am willing to engage the student in content-specific examples related to real-world concepts through case studies and personal experiences. These lessons are best suited for junior high or high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in life science.
