About Diane
I am a UK based English tutor, with a passion for helping students to achieve their goals. I love online tutoring as it allows me to interact with such an interesting range of people. I take real satisfaction from helping the students I work with to achieve the grades they require in order to pursue their dreams.
I am a qualified English Language teacher, and I also have a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, and a master's degree in Screenwriting. I have spent time teaching in international schools, and I have also lectured Creative Writing at university level.
In addition to my core tutoring in English Language and Literature, I also draw on my background as a careers adviser to provide university application support. Depending on individual requirements, this coaching can include identifying optimum courses and universities, personal statement tuition, and interview prep.

I take a tailored approach to tutoring, to ensure that each student is able to progress towards achieving their goal as quickly and efficiently as possible. In an initial lesson, I will assess your current level, and ascertain your aims and deadlines. This information will allow me to create a bespoke course of lessons focusing on the areas in which you need the most support.
I offer a flexible, result driven form of tutoring. Whether you require an intensive course of rapid revision before an upcoming exam, or a more structured, longer term programme, I will adapt my approach to ensure that you meet, and exceed, your goals.
I recommend that students commit to a minimum of 2 lessons per week, as this allows steady progress to be made. I provide all study materials, and typical lesson activities include mock exams, timed practice, and drafting and redrafting written exercises. Lesson content is tailored to the needs of each student, but will generally cover Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, along with the specific strategies and techniques that are necessary to achieve the highest grades.

Yes, Diane is a very good teacher. She helped my daughter with her exam for IELTS, and also with her application for university. My daughter is now studying in UK and so happy! Now, Diane is helping my son, who is not such a good student! But she makes things clear for him and I think with her help he will be ok with his exam Excellent teacher!
