About JJ
I have been teaching for over 15 years in Canada and abroad. I have taught ELL students in Japan, Kuwait, and Egypt, as well as newcomer children and adults in schools in Canada. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a graduate of Broadcast Journalism. I spent many years as a DJ, voice-over actor, and radio announcer. I have excellent pronunciation, clear speech, and no accent.

I am a certified ESL Teacher, as well as a certified primary school teacher. I have taught English Language Learners ranging in age from 5 to 65. I can easily provide structure to our lessons, or I can assess your skills and tailor to your needs. I am suited to ESL learners who want to build on their existing English skills - including professionals. I have experience teaching learners in the medical profession, as well as a variety of professional newcomers to Canada.
