About Brooke
I am currently a freshman at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and I am studying history! This means most of my homework involves writing essays, so I have gained lots of practice. During my tutoring career, I have successfully helped students complete over twenty missing assignments at a time, so no matter how far behind you are, I want to help. I have also tutored many students with learning disabilities, so I am equipped to personalize my teaching approach to any child.

I typically begin the lesson by asking the student if they have any specific questions or concerns regarding their paper. Then, we read the prompt together, taking time to highlight the key questions it poses. After this, we work together to craft a thesis statement and identify specific examples that support our argument. While this is generally the way I conduct lessons, I aim to personalize my teaching approach to be the most helpful.
I have extensive experience tutoring middle school and high school students, and I pride myself on remaining patient with struggling students. My goal is to help kids understand the material no matter how long it takes.
