About Chiara
I am an English teacher in the Italian public school. I have been teaching for 20 years and love what I do. I attended the linguistic high school and then I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Parma. I am a SSIS qualified teacher (specialization school for teaching), I have always worked in the field of private lessons since the time of university. My passion for English leads me to practice the language every day with friends all over the world, English native speakers. A language is alive and is a splendid means of broadening one's horizons. This is my motto: to convey to my students, of all types and levels, the beauty of knowing how to master a language, in particular the English language, to be able to express themselves, to communicate themselves to others, transmit their thoughts, their humor ! Basic needs can also be expressed by gestures ... owning a language is much, much more!

My methodology is the one set precisely by my experience with students and by my own experience as a student, always with a certain specific interest for foreign languages! What would I have wanted for me? 1. See language as a real communication tool. For this, I try to use current topics, articles from the web, listening to native speakers ... nothing is difficult, the important thing is to be guided and enjoy the progress. 2. take advantage of all language skills and work on a broad spectrum: from vocabulary, grammar, listening exercises, reading, speaking. When studying a language you have to bomb yourself. Everything is important and everything must be done with pleasure. Everything done is an extra brick. 3. the teaching must be diversified, this is unfortunately also true ... an adult needs so much to reason, to have everything under control ... a high school student needs to understand and always see before him usefulness of what he does, otherwise, if he thinks that English is only a school subject .... you lose it! But this is my job, I am the one who has to split up, trying to give my best!
