I like to teach based on how the person likes to be taught, with children I can be very didactic but with an adult it can be a little more serious, it depends on how the student feels confident, I usually give a brief explanation first or the procedure of how to solve things and then based on pure exercises to reinforce, the exercises go up in level as the student understands, each person is different so the necessary exercises are done so that each person understands very well the topic.
