About Katie
I am a High School Cambridge Psychology Teachers, I have experience in all history courses as well as Cambridge and IB testing. I have two Masters Degrees in Psychology and have been teaching in public schools for 2 years. Some professional achievements include increasing AICE Psychology passing rates from 8% to 47% in 1 year. I am a true believer that everyone learns differently and my goal is always to figure out how my students learn best, and then teach to their abilities.

I am a hands on teacher and enjoy bringing real life examples into learning. I usually begin teaching new students by finding out their cognitive style (which side of the brain they use most often). This helps me figure out how to present the information to each students in a way that makes sense. I not only teach content, I teach students how to study an stay organized. I have personal experience developing different study techniques for different learning types, so in addition to class content, I teach my students how to stay organized and develop study materials that are useful.
