About Harrison

Throughout my careers as an interpreter and ASL teacher, I have emphasized correct sign production that can be used in the Deaf community. Should you take this class, you will have access to years of ASL learning with teaching experience that will guide you through your exact level of ASL. If you are unsure of where to start, I can help jumpstart your learning using the diagnostic tools I have created over my time as an educator to ensure you are getting the best education possible!

About the lesson

Hello potential students, I am Mr. Longmore! I am an American Sign Language teacher that believes in making learning fun and easy! In my class, you will learn at your own pace and master the current level of sign language you aspire to learn. Specifically, we will use gamified programs, video assessments, and practice to help your signing skills develop fully. These lessons are for all students of all ages. Additionally, the class does not require extensive prior English knowledge (the only relative prerequisites are knowing ABC's and numbers 1-20). This class will uniquely utilize your previous skills and understanding while valuing your feedback and interests!

Perfect! Amazing experience ! My son absolutely loves this class and he enjoys the games they play. Mr Harrison is very patient with him as well as helps him understand easily what he’s learning. I find my son even practicing on his own. Mr Harrison is also very flexible with scheduling and understanding when it comes to changing dates. Definitely recommend him 10000% :) !

Mr. Harrison Longmore is my husband and we took ASL together in college and currently, while he tutors at home, I watch our kids and can hear how wonderfully he tutors and helps his students learn ASL in a simple yet fun way. He accomplishes this with games he had made for his students at his work and shares with his tutorees. He is very patient and understanding with all his tutorees and enthusiastic about helping them succeed in their endeavor with ASL. He also has had years of experience in the Deaf community and a Deaf mentor who has helped him in his ASL career goals as he went through his master’s program. I would highly recommend him for anyone who wants to learn ASL!
