About Edward

I have been teaching English in Madrid for 6 years and during this time I have taught many students with different objectives, levels and ages.
I have worked 3 years in Vaughan Sytems with intensive classes more directed at verbal agility.
I also worked in an academy preparing students for Trinity, PET, FCE and Advanced Certificate exams.
And more recently I have worked 1 and a half years in an engineering company, teaching and doing translations.
Throughout this time I have always had different private classes, I have developed many materials and I have helped people to improve their English.

About the lesson

Hello. I am Edward, I am a 31 year old English guy from Oxford.
I think the best way to improve a language is to talk and have fun.
Taking this into account, in my classes:
I put the emphasis on oral agility through dynamic and interactive classes.
We focus on several areas of the language to increase your overall level.
I always send homework, this is crucial to take advantage of the time and assimilate the material well.
I will correct every mistake you make that is key to gaining skill with the language.
I also design my classes to the student's needs for any objective, such as interview, presentation or exam preparation, improving vocabulary, oral, written or auditory skills.
It is very noticeable the difference of competence of the student after a few weeks.

He uses a good method to learn English (insisting on new vocabulary, phrasal verbs...). He always proposes new activities in order to make classes more entertaining.

He also prepared me for an official exam (oposiciones al Cuerpo de Ingenieros de Caminos del Estado), working on some EU articles (vocabulary, translations, etc) and in fact I got a very good score in the language exam (4th out of 96 people).
