About Maddie

Throughout my time as a tutor, I have worked with people of all ages who have been working towards different goals. Whether it be speaking a language with more confidence, studying for an exam or simply getting their head around a subject, I create sessions to support my students on their way to achieving these goals.

I recently finished studying for a masters in Spanish to English Literary Translation, so I know what it's like to be short of time when studying, and how frustrating it can be when you don't have time to work on the subjects you struggle with. I can help you with study techniques and how to make the most of the time you have.

About the lesson

Hi I'm Maddie. I have a degree in English and Spanish with distinction in spoken Spanish. I have recently finished a Master's in Translation. I have a CELTA qualification for teaching English as a foreign language. I have experience teaching as a language assistant at a primary school in Madrid, teaching English, Science and Art. I also have four years of tutoring experience, both in person and online, teaching English and Spanish to students aged 6 to 60.

In my sessions, I want to facilitate your learning and understanding. I teach with various styles and we can find the one that suits you. I work with visual aids, videos, and worksheets for the more nitty gritty stuff. My lessons will be tailored to you. We will work out what you need to work on and go from there. I try to make my language classes fun, using games and interesting topics to practice grammar, speaking, reading, listening and writing.
