About George
I'm George and going into my third year studying history at the University of York. I have always had strong academics achieving straight A stars at GCSE and 44 (out of 45) points in the International Baccalaureate. Outside of this, I'm a keen musician and absolutely love sport! I enjoy cricket and have coached it for many years which is where a lot of my teaching experience comes from.

I have worked with a range of children primarily coaching cricket, across ages and abilities. I have also had some experience tutoring academic subjects at A-Level. I'm friendly and personable, always ready for a chat and keen to be led by the student. I like to establish goals in advance and create plans to work towards them. Crucially, I believe in creating independent thinkers: this is important in a subject such as history where answers are not clear cut and require critical thinking.
