About Georgina
I am a recent sociology graduate from the University of Bristol. Reading Sociology has developed interpersonal communication skills, through cross-cultural knowledge and critical thinking ability. Understanding the social world in this way, has enabled me to take on a policy role within the Department of Education (DfE). This role continually calls me to see the bigger picture in situations when assessing current policy and future.
In addition, my degree has developed strong qualitative and quantitative skills to conduct ethical research. This is something I demonstrated through my dissertation. I have also shown this through different roles in the workplace. As a Data Analyst, Student Researcher and Managing Data within my policy role at the DfE.
I believe that I will not only be able to share my skills with you, useful for the discipline but also for the future employment skills. I believe that when teaching it is important to understand you (the learner) to see what method works best to reach your personal goals. I can also support on application writing (jobs/uni). Having applied to university myself, high-level jobs and being on recruitment now I can share the skills to what makes a outstanding application.
