About Emma
My name is Emma and I am a neuroscience student at Cardiff University. I was born and grew up in Barcelona in a bilingual family, my mother being French and my father British. I have been surrounded by languages all my life, as I learned Spanish and Catalan at school and also spoke in both French and English at home. Now that I am studying at university in Cardiff I am missing talking in French and Spanish, and I thought teaching these languages would be the perfect way to transmit my love for them!

I take an interactive, fun and relaxed approach to teaching speaking skills in both Spanish and French. Often students feel shy or overwhelmed when trying to speak in a foreign language, so I try to make them feel as comfortable as possible, creating a welcoming environment in which they can speak with confidence. I can help students studying Spanish from a beginners-level, to an intermediate level such as GCSE to an advanced level such as A levels or AP Spanish. I obtained an A* in my Spanish GCSE qualifications and a 5/5 in my Spanish AP. I am also happy to teach French speaking skills at both GCSE and A level as French is my mother tongue. My lessons usually last an hour long.
