About Andres
My name is Andrés, I was born in Venezuela, I studied a BA in Cinematographic Arts at the Central University of Venezuela, I won an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to study the Film Memory Joint Master in European Film Heritage, History and Cultures.
I am native in Spanish and C2 level of English, I have traveled and lived in many Spanish-speaking countries and written different academic publications in Spanish and English. I have the tools to help you improve your level of Spanish depending on your goals.
I love cinema, nature, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle.

I believe that every person is unique, and their ways of learning are different too. If you have a level of Spanish, I would love to have a conversation to see what your level is and how we can improve it. I believe in a mix of theory and practical approach, also in reading support materials and using cinema (my passion) and music as a tool to learn and improve language capabilities.
During my lessons, we are gonna use different approaches to see which of them suits you better and makes you feel comfortable. I think every learner reacts in different ways to different methods, and part of my work would be to help discover what are the ways that produce better results for you.
I also think that learning a language requires personal effort and commitment outside classes. For that reason, depending on your level, I will design a series of exercises that would help you to improve and self-learn before our next class, and that also helps me to evaluate your evolution and the parts in which you need more help.
In my experience, the best way to improve a language is with a private tutor that focuses on your specific needs. More than a plain method for learning Spanish, there is no right or wrong way; there is a way that suits you better, and together, we will figure it out and put it into practice so that you gain tools for self-learning and improvement.
