About Oliver

I am currently the Head of the Social Science faculty at Fortismere School, an 'Ofsted outstanding' North London state school ranked in the Times UK top 20. I have nine years teaching experience in Psychology, Philosophy and Religious Studies A-level. 82% of my students achieved an A*, A or B grade in 2018. I have helped many of my students achieve places at Oxbridge and other Russell Group universities and also have examining experience. I give tutees access to the same bank of model essays, writing frames and past exam material available to my students at Fortismere. Whilst knowledge of the content is vital, through supportive feedback, I carefully model the precise written communication skills required to achieve the highest grades I am most familiar with the AQA A-level Psychology specification. I am also happy to tutor RE/Philosophy A-level or GCSE level and support students with UCAS personal statements.
