About Maya
I have 5+ years of experience in teaching IGCSE chemistry, with certified training from Cambridge International. I help students break syllabus objectives into small learning goals that they can practice with exam-style questions to know what to expect. My students go from struggling with paper 6 to achieving over 37/40, and from being lost in stoichiometry questions to marking them as the easiest exam questions. My lessons are tailored to the student's needs and their struggles to help them achieve their best at externals.

My lesson is designed for IGCSE Chemistry students around syllabus assessment objectives. I have 5 years of experience in Cambridge schools in Jordan and one year of online tutoring. Teaching style: we start by displaying the assessment objective to clearly understand our goal, then through the lesson I provide 1. detailed explanation of the objective and what is expected of the student to know. 2. exam questions as examples of applying knowledge. 3. explain specific command words in exam questions and the best way to attempt them. 4. questions to assess understanding and evaluate progress. I deliver my lessons through interactive PowerPoint slides and I provide PDF files of summary and detailed notes along with related practice questions.
