About Jasmine
I recently graduated from the University of Bristol with a 2:1 in Politics (BSc). In May of 2021, I completed my International Baccalaureate Diploma. Since September of 2019 I have volunteered as a teaching assistant and tutor at Southbank International School. Initially I worked teaching group violin lessons to children, ages 6 to 12. After a few months, I also took on some one on one violin lessons. Whilst completing my Diploma, I worked with Year 6 students who were completing their Middle Years Programme Exhibition. I led meetings and assisted the students in developing their Exhibition components. This included Maths, English, Writing and Art components. I have also had experience tutoring English students in Years 3 to 6. For 3 months I tutored EAL (English as an Additional Language) students. I worked with students who were from all over the world, one of the many benefits of a programme such as the International Baccalaureate. I hope that I am able to inspire and challenge you.

When teaching I aim to evaluate a student's strengths and weaknesses in order to set practical and realistic academic goals. I aim to be a flexible and patient tutor; therefore my lessons are suitable for any type of student. When starting lessons, I like to ask students their goals. Additionally, I communicate with the student to ensure I know the extent of their knowledge on a subject. These two things allow me to adjust the lesson based on the students aims and understanding. It is essential to me that a student feels comfortable to ask questions. I believe learning is best in a relaxed and stress-free environment.
