About Sonya

Hi there!

My name is Ms Sonya, and I have over 10 years teaching ESL students of all ages. I have just come home to my beautiful country of South Africa, and am looking to continue my journey teaching English to students abroad - I love my job!

The most important thing for me is to make sure that my students have fun while learning, and I try my best to make that happen by using materials and activities that they are interested in.

I also focus on getting to know my students, so that I can find out which different learning styles they use, so that I can plan my lessons around those. A happy learner is a successful learner!

I hope to get the chance to meet you soon!

About the lesson

Teaching is my passion, and I find the most effective way for students to learn is through activities that are fun and interesting.

I use constant positive reinforcement and feedback as one of my main tools. I am also very aware of the multiple learning styles, and adapt my approach to teaching accoding to my learners needs.
