About Timothy
I love writing more than anything, but I'll be honest, it's hard for me too! And I hope that, with my help, you'll be able to grow your confidence as a writer and even begin to enjoy and love writing as well, not only as an academic pursuit but as a means of expression and creativity. I do great work (it's how I became the Director of Creative Writing at a high school!), and I would love to work with folks who are in need of a boost of joy in their writing!

For me, teaching begins with getting to know YOU. I have been teaching high school for 12 years and working in schools in general even longer, and what I've found is that lesson plans need to be engaging, relevant, and personalized to the student's level and areas of growth. I would love to work with folks who need support in their basic essay writing skills, creative writing skills, and critical reading skills. And though I have the most experience in secondary grade levels, I would love to work with folks of all ages! My hope is to get to know you and the things you care about and the areas you'd like to grow and use that as a foundation for our work together!
