I have just finished my A-levels, in which I attained Grade A in Chemistry and Biology. I am looking to tutor students in these subjects, share my knowledge and revision and learning techniques.

About Phoebe
I am currently a first year university student at University of Leeds, and really want to help younger students with their studies but also help them enjoy the subjects of Biology or Chemistry- which might seem impossible, but trust me once you start to understand the key concepts and how to learn all the content easier they are great subjects !
When I was studying Chemistry and Biology at GCSE I found it quite challenging and never thought I would take it further, however I needed both for the career I was interested in at the time so I took them as A-levels. At the end of the two years I have gained a great knowledge and appreciation for the subjects, this is not only down to my hard work but the fact I had a great teacher . I think the impact of a good teacher who not only has a good understanding of the topics, but who is also supportive and installs confidence in students, is huge. This is one of the reasons I want to tutor, so I can help students the way I was helped.

I am looking to tutor students who are taking science GCSE (biology and chemistry) and need extra support, or just younger students who need extra help in bio and chemistry . I would also be available to tutor AS (so year 12) chemistry and biology, I feel after recently completing my A-levels, I know what works well in terms of revision techniques and lesson formats through my own trial and error and after getting an A in both I feel confident I can share my knowledge and tips to help students succeed.
Lessons could range from60minutes/90 minutes, I feel any longer than this students tend to loose focus. I am currently at university so my availability is rather flexible, I am free almost most evenings and some daytime hours (most of the day on weekends too).
Lessons would consist of covering and recapping key content and in particular topics that the student is struggling with the most, as well as revision lessons and revision techniques and also small summative tests just to track progress etc.
