About Alluru
"Hi everyone, I'm Maha Alluru, and I’m excited to be your teacher this semester! I’ve always had a deep passion for biology, and I truly believe that understanding it can open up new ways of thinking and help us connect with the world around us. For me, teaching is more than just sharing facts or solving problems—it’s about sparking curiosity and helping you discover new ideas that you can apply in your own life. Why do I want to share my knowledge with you? Well, teaching gives me the opportunity to pass on the things that have inspired me, whether it’s a concept that changed the way I view the world or a skill that helped me solve real-life challenges. My goal isn’t just to have you memorize things, but to help you build critical thinking skills, ignite your curiosity, and give you the confidence to tackle new ideas, even when they seem challenging. I believe in creating a space where we can all learn together, where your questions are valued, and where you feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes. We’re all here to grow—myself included—and I’m committed to making sure you leave this class not just with knowledge, but with the tools to keep learning and growing long after the semester ends.
