About Teacher Gui

We are aware that our world is decreasing its size since the number of information is super high. Thus, the more data there is, the more contact with native speakers we have. That's why, sooner or later, we must learn English. I have been teaching English for 5 years and since I started I found what I really love doing. Throughout my classes, first of all, I try to keep a comfortable and natural environment since learning at a cool place helps a lot, I also try to have English classes immersed in the culture, avoiding translating words to our first language since we only learn by practicing. I believe that learning goes beyond a classroom with chairs and a book with its methodology. Nowadays, there are a great number of tools we can use to provide awesome classes that will guide students to acquire fluency in a blink of an eye. So, in my classes, just forget that traditional teaching and learning methodology, expect the unexpected and let's learn because learning English really matters!

As a teacher, I try to make the classroom as comfortable and pleasing as possible. I am aware that classes taught in an informal way, giving the student the leading role, and bringing topics that unite and attract the student's attention is more than important for the acquisition of a foreign language, it is essential. Besides, I have just finished my bachelor in Languages and teaching is an activity that really matters, that is the reason I am always updating myself and following new techniques to improve my lessons and make them not just fun, but also meaningful.

About the lesson

Well, it is hard to talk about myself. I am sure it is even harder to start, the beginnings are always complicated or they usually end up corny. I guess I should talk about my hobbies, which are watching football, playing games, studying languages, and staying with my dog, or perhaps I should talk about what I know about myself and what I pursue, it is difficult to know, I am not sure. However, what I am pretty sure is that I honor the profession since I am committed to my tasks, always willing to teach and also learn. Since I started teaching English at a school in my hometown, I found the passion of my life because the challenges we face are compensated by the results achieved.
